Jan Primus (160), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada May 8, 2008 Perhaps the worst beer I can recall drinking. Tasted like regular stella mixed with vinegar. Drain poured 3/4 of the bottle, saving grace it came with a free flute type glass which was the main reason I bought it.
Muggus69 (232), Sydney, Australia Sep 22, 2008 Freebie BB 07.09.08...oddly short date actually.
Certainly looks the part with its shiny white label and cork, and pour a good sized dense lasting white head into my pilsner glass, with a bright sparkling pale gokl body.
Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there... Interesting nose; grainy malt, vanilla, corn and honey, quite prominant wet cardboard and bready yeast, bit of spice subtle fruits, unripe banana, and some clove-like spice.
Spritzy carbonation, body is suprisingly lean for it strength, moderately creamy texture, bit of boozy alcohol towards the finish.
Body seem almost like an overly-strong kristallweizen; unripe banana, grainy malt, vanilla, clove and nutmeg, cardboard, apricot, metallic rusty bitterness drying on the finish and lingering.
Guess calling it a Euro Strong Lager seems suitable, bit too boozy and uncomplex to be considered a Belgian Blond. rederic (1444), montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 10, 2008 750ml corked green bottle purchased at the LCBO in Ottawa, bright golden color, leaving some laces, hint of honeyed pale malt, with a corny, faint spicy vanilla accent, with a note of wet grain in the aroma follows through on a light-bodiedpalate with a mild honeyish pale malt, warmth alcoholic character, with a hint of wet oakiness, still has a spicy vanilla note, with a faint green apple skin fruitiness, with a good carbonation, leading towards a watery, spicy hop bittering finish. madquacker (505), Canberra ACT, Australia Sep 6, 2008 Marked down from A$15 to A$3 due to fast approaching BB date. Was expecting big things with the champagne bottle and finery. Nice pop of the cork and decent head but fast fell away. Corn syrup and grain but well disguised high ABV. The alcohol was not discernable until it hits you at the back in. Strange. GRM (865), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Aug 16, 2008 Green bottle, 750 ml, best before 06.09.08, purchased at deVine & Wines, savoured on August 16 2008; eye: golden, clear, champagne-style white head that falls rapidly but leaves a sheet of head on the beer, light effervescence, lacing; nose: malt, grain, caramel, corn, light hops; mouth: malt, syrupy, rather sweet, layer of caramel throughout the sip, corn, finale in big caramel with presence of malt, cloying, medium body, slightly grainy texture, average carbonation; overall: disappointing

Tastes strongly of alcohol. Grainy, harsh. Uninspired. I got a new glass though, whew hoo!
