Fairly thin and bland but quite bitter. Slight metallic taste to it. There are many better lagers out there... Frovigalning (472), , Sweden
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Clear piss-yellow colour, big foam that disappeared fast and left a lacing. Had a very weak smell, not existant almost. Tastes a bit bitter which saves it, besides that it was very watery. Had a lean taste but very boring. Probably the worst belgian beer Ive ever tasted. aaronbr (59), Palo Alto, California, USA

Color is a pale and transparent straw yellow. Has a little more bitterness than a typical macro, which saves it a teensy bit (As you can see from my other ratings, I’m a fan of hoppy ales). I still think as far as this price range and style go, it’s just as I’ve always thought of it: unoffensive and cheap beer. Smooth hit on the tongue with a nice bitter bite at the end. Always a good drink to have. 17thfloor (1511), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Seeing as I was just in Belgium I suppose I should rate this from the source. I would have taken some notes but I didn’t know that I hadn’t already rated it. This beer maybe quite light in flavor and fairly light in body, however, it is very clean. Very soft bready sweetness, quite crisp and dry, grassy. Not skunked at all in Belgium compared to what makes it across. Gary (351), Buckinghamshire, England

Stella Artois has a cult following with juice heads ,low lives & teenagers.Stella Artois has a diverse range on tulip glasses.I like that .Aroma of h2o grain..flavours are too sweet and syrupy ..then lots of dryness and hop bitterness from the miserable hops. Don’t drink this. It’l fuck with your head pal. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

When I was younger, and this beer first came to North America I thought it was great. The light floral hoping was a nice change from the flavorless Canadian lagers I grew up drinking. Later of course, I began having my eyes opened to the greater world of beer and, needless to say, ceased being a fan of Stella. Well, today I had one on tap to freshen my opinion in order to rate and I’m, not surprishingly, still not a fan. It amazes me that so many people here (north america) continue to pay uber-premium prices for this stuff when there’s usually something far better/more local/cheaper just a couple of taps down......marketing is a powerful thing....
