raymondwave (808), Finland Dec 20, 2007 Updated: Dec 25, 2007One litre bottle from brewery, consumed one week after bottling (BB 271207). A real treat I got from Germany! Cloudy hay yellow, almost like a hefeweizen. Surprisingly fizzy head, I wasn’t expecting much carb. Strange nose, goes from initial malts and fresh hoppiness to wet dog and barnyard haystack when warming up. Pretty rural nose. Flavor is light, with a beautiful honeyish unfiltered aftertaste. Some yeast, malts and hops. All there. Easy on the bitterness, but not really sweet either. Maybe a bit sour. These are one thing I miss from Germany, unique, local unfiltered and fresh brews. MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 31, 2006 (on tap at the brewpub) Hazy, yellow to light orange colour with a foamy white medium head. Dusty, slightly sweet malty and yeasty aroma with delicate notes of honey and herbal hops. Slightly unripe, moderately yeasty bitter flavour, light bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Soft malty, moderately yeasty taste, light herbal notes with a touch of hay; medium-dry, slightly bitter finish with a herbal hoppy touch. Okay for german modern brewpub standarts (09.12.2006).
