Pour a glass of belgian foam, I mean beer. Clear amber color. Thick 3 inch frothy head. the aroma is weak, and resembles toasted malt. Tastes like water, old vegetables, and the metal tank it was brewed in. Pretty much a foul in the world of beer. Not even worth finishing the critique. Who cares about the mouthfeel and finish at this point, pouring it down the drain as you read this.

Jul 13, 2008 Very tasty. Medium head, pours light, murky brown. Slight aroma of dark roast and malts. Excellent balance of dark fruit and hop flavor. It is light for a dubbel, which is actually a pleasant surprise. There are certainly better dubbels, but this is worth a taste or two.

Jul 11, 2008 Dark garnet brown color with a medium to thin off-white head. Aroma is light toffee, a touch warming, notes of dark stone fruits. Mouth is very effervescent - like a creamy champagne. Flavors of raisins, figs, with hints of chocolate apparent, but vanish quick fast leaving a lightly sweet almost cherry-like flavor.

Jun 28, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with almost no head. Nose is some raisins and figs and a light sourness. Taste sports none of the sourness of the nose but the raisin and figs. Tons of carbonation, too much probably but its very light. Almost to light for a dubbel. However its quite tasty and its hard to find any real faults with it.

Jun 9, 2008 Updated: Jun 11, 2008Bottle... Poured hazy ruby with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of figs, plums and raisons. Sharp palate with lots of carbonation and flavors of pleasant fruit and spices. A bit of cardboard towards the finish which to me was it’s only fault.

May 26, 2008 Darker color with an aroma of raisin and spice. Flavor has some raisin and sugar, but tastes a bit cheap. Not bad for an "approachable" dubbel
