Lacks a little of everything... clearly not Belgiums finest but, perhaps, on the other end. One would do better with just about any other White ale. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2006 This was a pale clody yellow, with a big yeast nose. Light body, and kind of grainy taste. Jabswitch (215), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2006 Pale yellow - slightly hazy. Cirtrus aroma and flavor. Very bubbly and tart to the tongue. Not a striking flavor at all. Maybe slightly on the "watery" side. aarossell (151), Grandville, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2006 This was the whitest / palest colored ale I had ever seen. Very carbonated...too much so. Head as white as snow--big bubbles. It looks like champagne now that I think of it. Tastes like pop. Aroma is sweet but slightly dusty. Taste wasn’t too great. Nice citrus, a bit of clove or mint maybe...but there’s a strong flavor of metal which is offputting to say the least. My bottle is labeled with a silver, blue and white simple picture. ...This beer is not very good. Blue Moon’s White is cheaper, more available, and better tasting by far. ehhdayton (1115), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white head. The aroma has a note of coriander and a bit of tartness. The flavor is a light citrus with a note of spice and finishes with a lemon like flavor. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Appears a hazy straw yellow with a 2 finger white head that slowly fades. Tons of yeasty fallout is just hanging in suspension making the brew look less than appealing. Streaks of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of honey, toasted wheat, mild citrus, and a touch of spice.
Taste is of the same aromas with a lgentle lemony squeezed tartness that is fitting for the style.
Mouthfeel is smooth, medium bodied, lightly spiced, lemon zest infused, with the tiny bits of yeast running along the tongue. Mixed feelings on this with hints of it being really good but the funky yeast chunks are a real drag and get in the way of me trying to enjoy it. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2006 330ml bottle. Pours cloudy bright blonde, with a big fluffy white head. Head drops away to a skim after a while. Aroma is as expected for a Belgian Wit, yeasty, spicy, and citric. Taste is also right on style, tart and crisp with coriander spice and citric notes. Mild lemony wheat with a floral note. Light and refreshing, and a perfect cooler for a hot August day in Florida. Some similarities to the Ommegang Witte. Seemed better to me than the meager 3.1 score would indicate. Very nice. thecollector (32), South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2006 bottle from the local whole foods. bright yellow color with quite a bit of haziness from sediment. thin white head covered the top and allowed a slight yeast aroma to poke through followed closely by apple, orange, and minimal clove. the taste is of mint, clove, and honey with a thin mouthfeel. smooth and tasty is this white.
