Pours orange but there are so many big white floaties...it looks like a fricking snow globe! Aroma of sweet citrus and yeast. Lots of citrus in the flavor, along with wheat malt and spices. This could use a little more body. Finish is yeasty, quenching and refreshing if you have it in hot weather BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2006 I was a bit confused about this one and worried I couldn’t find it. I was under the impression this line was retired, via the dubble, but it looks like the folks at Ommegang have raised it, if not the brewer from the dead. thanks lads. Anyhow, my bottle is labled like the dubble. Overall refreshing brew here. Hazy washingmachine gold. Spices of clove and peppermint intermingle with wheats and yeast, dashed about with some citrus like lemon and orange. a bit of a floral go here and there. Refreshing again. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. This one poured hazy goldish with white head. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. White head dissipates but satys ever-present. Very little aroma -- maybe a little clove. Medium bodied, mostly just wheat taste and slightly metallic. Very little in the way of a finish. Not great, not bad... eaglefan538 (2399), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Updated: Oct 29, 2006Sampled straight from the bottle. A nice but not great wit. The aroma was yeasty more than anything else with light citrus detectable. The flavor was of the standard wit wheat base with some orange and other citrus flavors coming through. The spicing was light, which was my main knock on the beer, and the overall flavor average strength (not too light, not strong, though). I’d go back to this one again (good stuff), but I wouldn’t pay import prices for it (no idea how much it costed). Re-rate, October 2006: Unchanged opinion. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2006 Bottle and served in a weizen glass: Poured a cloudy white with a frothy head and above average lace. The aroma has notes of lemon zest, orange peel, light clove and pepper, floral hops, and a moderate yeasty ester. The taste follows suit and his a lot like the Upland Wheat as it is more citric than most Witbiers. The spicing is mellow and fades on the finish. Good flavor profile, I was just left wanting more. Wheat and yeast noticeable throughout. The mouth feel is lively and crisp at first, some what dry on the finish. A refreshing beer but I have had better wits. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours a hazy lemonade color, aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a mix of citrus, flavor, is smooth, sweet fruity, with a peppery spicey finish, ok body good brew.
