Aroma and flavor are pretty weak, with some nice yeasty and wheaty flavor, some lemon, not much else. Pretty watery, not a great white but certainly not bad. bourne (161), Suwon, South Korea

| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Bottle... I think that someone sent me this, but I can’t remember who. Thanks to the academy. Pours chunky as hell which I hate... I just don’t like to drink chunks in my beer... that’s why I filter out my homebrew. Nose is of black pepper and a little sour note to it as well. Tastes like black pepper as well as a medicine quality. Not good. Maybe this bottle is old after looking at the other ratings, but it sucks. No flavor at all that is pleasing. Sort of bland and blah..... I won’t even waste my time finishing this swill. This is by far the worst Belgian brew that I have ever had. Cool palate, but no good other than that. Sucks. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Pours orange/yellow and somewhat cloudy with a small off white head. Smells appley with only the vaguest aroma of vanilla. Taste is of anise and some yogurt qualities. Watery on the finish. Tejas (704), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2005 Light yeasty appley aroma. Not much head but then again I didn’t pour it aggressively b/c of the large amount of yeast in the bottle. Light palate. Spicy clove like flavor. Maybe some roastiness too??? Drinkable but nothing close to impressive. Glad I only bought a single. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2005 Pour is a cloudy yellow with lots of floaties. Aroma is bready and vanilla. Flavor is a nice mix of spice and coriandier. A good example of the style. iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2005 I thought this was right on for the style. Pale, white pale, in color, a tad cloudy. Can very much taste the Belgian yeast strain which definitely gives off a distinct flavor. Compelling on the nose and refreshing. A leg up on the competition. Kinda hard to find. bu11zeye (5675), Frisco, Texas, USA
