on the pale side. fruity nose. sweet with citrus and spice and some typical wheat flavors. a little dusty tasting at times. i didnt have the freshest bottle of this i think(especially since i find this retried, but it still a satisfying wit. would try it again if the brewer werent out of business.

MAY 25TH 2006 RE-RATE:
Aroma is lemon, citrus, funk and dishwater. Pale cloudy yellow in color with a diminishing white head. Fore is lemon zest, coriander. Mildly funky yeast and smooth mellow wheat base. Much better than I remembered which points to my first bottle being infected or old.
Original: .8
Smelled like stale Old Millwaukes Best. Very adjuncty smelling. Cloudy. No head. Tasted like it smelled only worse. I could barely drink it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white foamy head. Nose is lemony. Flavor is lemony with a straw feeling to it.

Others who have rated this beer describe it as hazy, globular, particulate, and metamucil in appearance, and lemony in flavor. DUH! This is a WHITE beer! look it up! Sterkens is a fine example of a Belgian white ale, straw colored, and fruity-lemony in flavor, but not nearly as tart as a lambic. Frothey white head, very drinkable, great beer to have with dinner. This is definatley on my BUY AGAIN list, I recommend.

Pale yellow/gold color with a thin fizzy white head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is lightly malty with a yeast presense. Light-bodied with a grain character along with spice and yeast flavors. Very straightforward and refreshing. The finish is short and clean with some hops and spice aftertaste. Above average summer fare.

Straw yellow and hazy, this beer smelled like a musty cellar. Heavily particulate, this may have been a bad/old bottle. Slightly tart with musty dank wood overtones. Not good.

Pours hazy and slightly viscous. Taste is an immediate explosion of yeast and lemon. The hops add just enough kick to keep things interesting. Satisfying.

Straw color with a white head that hangs around for a while. Hazy in the glass but decent for a beer after mowing the grass for the first time this year. Has a wheat flavor with just a little fruit flavor. It is very light and finishes crisp. Not the best beer I’ve had but I’ve definitely had worse.
