Sterkens White Ale

Pours a luminous cloudy golden color with luxurious white head. Nose has elements of orange fruit and a subtle cleaning component (no, it’s not the glass). Orange comes through on the palate with a very wheaty-cracker taste that carries nicely through to the finish. It ends with a light sweet ’n sour flavor that is good.

This pours more white than any white ale I’ve seen. At first I thought of iced tea, almost a refreshing flavor. It has a fruity, and strong-honey like aroma. It is not very spicy, and the flavors ends smoothly with some carbonation on the palate.

Bottle at ABC beer tasting. Poured a very cloudy pale yellow and a white head. Aroma was very lemony, reminded me of lemonade/lemon pie. Flavor brings out similar flavors with some undertones of coriander and a dry finish.

wonderful light fruitiness and perfumey coriander flavours, with hay, gummi lifesavers, pear, and honey flavours, wow, very happy flavours!! ..
.. . . funny, i never have sout out witbiers, i have never really craved witbiers, but i seem to fall for them nearly every time, i’m a sucker for the wits during the summer!
..try this, nice and light with a delicious flavour profile!!

Fizzy like grape juice with a slight citrus bitterness like lemon juice. Tastes and smells like Fresca. Not all in a bad way - kind of refreshing and uplifting, but certainly not a deep or complex beer.

Ommegang brews this now? OK mine says product of Belgium, whatever. Pale straw, damn near clear, strong white head and very active carbonation. Lots of strong citrus, and that abundant coriander that smells like cheap dish soap to me. Faint dish soapy character, soft, pillowy, lemony. Finishes a bit dry.

Pours a clear glowing golden with a medium fizzy white small soda bubble head. Faint aroma of fragrant soap and light spices, slightly wheaty. Flavor is quite sweet and a bit tangy/sour, lemons and orange peel, sour candy, very light ripe banana, sharp, white grapes with a yeasty aftertaste. Probably slightly infected but it works, nice and tart. Medium/light bodied with a fuller mouthful and sharp corse medium carbonation.

Tasting @ argo0’s place. 12 oz bottle courtesy of NewPlastikk. Straw pour with a thin, white head. This is, for all intents and purposes, a thinner, lighter Hoegaarden knockoff. Not bad - perfectly drinkable.
