urbnhautebourg (934), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Oct 11, 2003 Updated: Jun 26, 2008Once again, you all are wrong--this is really pretty good. Smell it again: restrained but terribly complex aroma--almost like Rochefort believe it or not. Very dry character, bordering on grainy--doesn’t have the sweetness of most Belgian whites or even the fruitiness and spice of its own aroma. I can see why this beer would bore some. I find it unique and engaging. jredmond (621), New Jersey, USA Dec 24, 2007 11.2 oz bottle - different from photo...way more uber. The body was a cloudy hazy orange with small dissapating head. The aroma was spice and citrus, and also traces of Fruit Loops. Great taste - spice, coriander and citrus again. I think this beer is underrated. Pwn3d (619), NYC, New York, USA Dec 26, 2007 11.2 oz bottle, not the same as photo shown here. The aroma was gorgeous fruit loops, best ive smelt. Pour was also pristine, taste was solid, this is very underrated. I hope people arent holding back on because this is american brew... it pwns many belgians austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Aug 4, 2002 Surprisingly complicated! Sourish, but only slightly. Wow! This is truly delicious and I must revisit it and taste against other top wits to see where it stands. reapermedic (18), USA Jun 23, 2005 Others who have rated this beer describe it as hazy, globular, particulate, and metamucil in appearance, and lemony in flavor. DUH! This is a WHITE beer! look it up! Sterkens is a fine example of a Belgian white ale, straw colored, and fruity-lemony in flavor, but not nearly as tart as a lambic. Frothey white head, very drinkable, great beer to have with dinner. This is definatley on my BUY AGAIN list, I recommend.
