Once again, you all are wrong--this is really pretty good. Smell it again: restrained but terribly complex aroma--almost like Rochefort believe it or not. Very dry character, bordering on grainy--doesn’t have the sweetness of most Belgian whites or even the fruitiness and spice of its own aroma. I can see why this beer would bore some. I find it unique and engaging.

Surprisingly complicated! Sourish, but only slightly. Wow! This is truly delicious and I must revisit it and taste against other top wits to see where it stands.

Others who have rated this beer describe it as hazy, globular, particulate, and metamucil in appearance, and lemony in flavor. DUH! This is a WHITE beer! look it up! Sterkens is a fine example of a Belgian white ale, straw colored, and fruity-lemony in flavor, but not nearly as tart as a lambic. Frothey white head, very drinkable, great beer to have with dinner. This is definatley on my BUY AGAIN list, I recommend.

11.2 oz bottle - different from photo...way more uber. The body was a cloudy hazy orange with small dissapating head. The aroma was spice and citrus, and also traces of Fruit Loops. Great taste - spice, coriander and citrus again. I think this beer is underrated.

Light bodied ale with a fruity taste. Perfect for a summer refreshment with a twist of lemon!

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of fine to medium sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace. The body was softly carbonated hazy and straw yellow in color. The aroma was a very nice banana clove one and the mouth feel was nice and smooth from start to finish with mild clove malt and fruit notes. The flavor was malty and fruity with banana and clove notes. An excellent wit very well done highly recommended..

11.2 oz Bottle, Blue and Grey beat to hell label, no where does it say Ommegang it says Product of Belgium, Brewed and Bottled By: Sterkens Brewery Meer - Belgium. I saw this on the shelves and it scared me, the label told a story of it’s rough junor to this shelf, you could see in the bottle the biggest chunks of yeast I’ve ever seen, it intimidated me. But it’s a belgian white my favorite style and so I grabbed it. Pours a very cloudy yellow, a very big and fluffy white head, and with a huge amount of floaters swirling around. The taste is perfect, just the right amount of spiciness, just the right amount of lemon flavor, a slight orange flavor, and just the right amount of a banana aftertaste, they didn’t overdo or underdo anything. This is probably the most perfect balanced belgian white I’ve had to date, and it’s a very bold statement but I think that this should be the standard that all other belgian white’s base themselves off of, not saying there couldn’t be a better tasting one out there, but this had everything a good belgian white should.
