raymondwave (787), Finland Jan 30, 2007 This is propably the funkiest pils I’ve tasted so far. The nose is sort of fresh, but taste is metallic, little fruity, skunky with some butter gone bad. I don’t know what, but there is something definately funky with this beer. Very strange, slightly bittery aftertaste. Oh yeah, the label is horrible, I would never pick up this bottle by it’s looks unless I was just trying out different beers. randalf (1), Essen, Germany does not count Oct 15, 2005 golden, clear, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish, pivnizub (3793), Porúří, Germany Sep 25, 2005 Bottle: Pale golden, thin white foamy layer; soapy nose with traces of cardboard and a tinge of grainy maltiness; slightly bitter-sweet flavour, weak aftertaste with traces of bitterness - a thinnish, watery, bland Pils ! MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Sep 1, 2005 (bottle) Golden colour with a fluffy white medium head. Aroma of sweet malts with a touch of herbal hops. It starts with a malty medium bodied mouthfeel, balanced with a slightly dry, bitter and quite lasting aftertaste. A drinkable recreation (?) of a Pilsener formerly brewed by the Stern Brauerei Carl Funke AG in Essen/Ruhr and nowadays by Stauder in contrast to the hop-accentuated Stauder Pils. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany May 9, 2005 Bottled. Aroma is not typically pilsner-like, rather like helles. Average pilsner with a fruity undertone and a little sweetness. Medium hoppy finish. Quite decent.
