Nov 8, 2009 Similar to a black and tan. Appearance was very dark, but light in texture. The taste and carbonation of a stout, with the bitterness and body of an ale. Loved it.

Oct 16, 2009 GABF 2009. Pours clear black with a small, fizzy light brown head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toffee, meal), light hop (herbs), heavy yeast (sweat, leather) with notes of prunes, cola, maple syrup, and dust. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, heavy sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Nov 27, 2008 On tap at stewarts. Poured into a lager glass. Dark, not much head. Weak aroma of fruits. Taste is dark fruits, roasted malts, a hint of chocolate and some coffee to round it out. For how dark it was the texture was pretty light. Unique beer. I would get it again.
