Jan 26, 2006 Sampled from growler courtesy of egajdzis. Poured a daker and cloudy brown color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of bananas, bubblegum, and some citrus. Tastes of wheat, lighter bananas, cloves, and citrus. I found the tastes to be on the weaker side, especially compared to the aromas.

Jan 26, 2006 Poured a hazy brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, clove, bubblegum, and caramel malt. Taste of more bananas, and caramel malt, tart wheaty citrus, and a funky, dry yeasty finish.

Jan 25, 2006 Thanks to egajdzis for picking up this growler. Pours a hazy brown orange with an average off white lightly lacing head. Aroma of banana, wheat, clove and lemon. Flavors of the same with some roasted malts in there.

Jan 7, 2009 Poured from a fresh growler into my weizen glass, courstesy goodgrief/doulos31. Aroma was roasty caramel, firm bananas, sweet bready yeasty elements. The flavor followed, a tad on the sticky side, some hoppy elements in the beginning (floral works) that faded as it warmed. Chocolate works its way into the profile with roasty elements supporting it all. A fairly boring take on the style, but decent. Mouthfeel was a little undercarbonated, slightly sticky, kept honest only by the roastiness when all was said and done.

Jan 26, 2006 Eric’s growler. Cloudy chestnut body with a fading off-white head. Big banana esters plus cloves, chestnuts, and sour plums in the aroma. Flavor reminds me of sautéed bananas plus dark fruit and nuts. Balancing sweet malt and medium tartness. A solid dunkelweizen with good depth.

Jan 10, 2009 On tap at Stewarts. Pours a cloudy orange/brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of vegetal notes, clove and spices. Flavor of those same notes, lots of spices and vegetal notes. I didn’t really enjoy this.

Feb 21, 2009 Tap at the brewpub. Aroma of clove, citrus, hint of bubblegum, earthy hops. Flavor sweet with the citrus and bubblegum, banana comes into play for me here. Rather heavy in the mouth. Just ok.

Jan 5, 2009 Growler from Stewarts. Murky brown color, smallish head. Aroma was full of bubblegum. The flavor was loaded with fruity/perfumy sweetness that seemed almost out of place. Light clove notes over a wheat base. I don’t know, for some reason, I wasn’t really digging it.
