DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 7, 2009 Cask at Stewart’s. Pours turbid orangy with off-white head. Nose is heavy tropical fruit, including grapefruit, tangerine, honeydew, and juicy hops. Tastes very hoppy, very smooth and juicy, with tons of grapefruit, pineapple, and tangerine. The cask smooths it, and the malt bill stands up to the hops masterfully and prived a wondeful balance. Another major-league winner from Ric Hoffman. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Feb 21, 2009 Cask at Stewarts. Aroma huge with orange and grapefruit flesh and seeds, perfume, spicy hops, sweet malt. Flavor not as explosive, but still great with all the same notes. Smooth, smooth, smooth. Wow. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jan 10, 2009 On cask at Stewarts (I believe this is the 2nd batch of this beer and they toned it town a little). Pours a super cloudy orange with a thick white tan head (very pretty!). Aroma of heavenly citrus and grapefruit, some grassy hops. Flavor of citrus and tropical fruits, some crystal malt. Nice and smooth. This is a solid IPA and the best cask IPA I’ve had to date. This beer rocks!
8/5/8/5/15 (4.1/5) Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA Sep 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 1, 2008On tap at Stewarts. Poured a copper color with nice head. Aroma is fruit and hop. Taste is nice and drinkable, fruity, hoppy, and bitter near the end. A nice seasonal brew by Stewarts. GMCC2181 (846), Bear, Delaware, USA Sep 30, 2008 My 400th rating! On tap at stewarts. Dark red in color, good head and lacing. Aroma of fruity hops. Taste is fruity hops along with a bitterness to it. Texture is average, kind of dry towards the end but still very drinkable. Glacier hops are not my favorite but this was a pretty good beer.
