Commercial Description:
A smooth easy-drinking red ale with medium body and a candy-like caramel malt flavor. Sweet malts dominate the flavor profile, while caramel undertones deliver an enjoyable compliment. This ale is only lightly hopped in order to accentuate the malt profile and was our first award winning beer receiving a Bronze Award at the 2000 World Beer Cup.

On tap at the brewpub (05/26/09). Amber red in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is heavy in malt with some toffee and toast. Taste is also heavy in malt with some caramel, toffee and nuts.

Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/12/09

Aroma: Malty, caramel, bready
Appearance: Clear amber color
Flavor: Similar to nose, malty, sweet, toasty
Palate: Light to medium body, decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Decent beer, nothing too exciting, but a solid example of this style. Basically a run-of-the-mill Irish ale, that can be enjoyed as a session beer or as a mild starter beer for people wanting to try a simple Micro.

On tap, at brewpub. Pours a clear reddish amber body with a small fizzy white head that faded fairly quickly. The nose is slightly husky and grainy with just a mild hint of hops. The flavor is much the same, a little toasty and grainy malt with a bit of fruitiness on the back end along with minimal bitterness. A little thin overall. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a bit of a course texture and moderate fizzy carbonation. Just about what you would expect from an Irish Ale at your average brewpub.

On tap at brewpub. Poured a slightly reddish amber with modest white head. Smell is very mild with a slight hops. Taste is also very mild with a slight sweetness and a bit of hops. Finish is more dry than sweet, but nothing that really stands out. An OK beer, but nothing spectactular.

On tap at stewart in DE. Nice red color (duh). Stong aroma of malt. Taste was pretty much the same. Average house beer. Nothing worth seeking out...

Draught. Color is light amber, not red in the slightest. Aroma hoppier than expected. Very much like a pale ale. I thought he poured the wrong beer. Had an unpleasent bite to it. Not nearly malty enough. Slightly below average.

Sampled draft at brewpub. Pours amber in color with a very small head. Light malt aroma. Smooth flavor of caramel malts and notes of toffee with a sweet finish. not bad
