Clear golden with tiny short lasting head. Sweet aroma with grassy and fruity notes. Flavor is grassy and grainy with cardboard, fruit and hoppy notes. Ends with discrete bitternes.

This is a nice, dry pilsner with a clearly dominant hop character. It is gold with a pretty big, lasting white head that slowly shrinks and elaves a little weak lace. The aroma has a lot of grain, crackers, flowers, pine, cyprus, honey, and hints of sulphur and orange. The taste on theother hand, has only light (but clearly noticeable) grain taste and is thoroughly dominated by lots of herbal, piney, grassy hop flavour which makes the toungue tingle and leaves a crisp, persistent bitterness from start to finish. Despite the clear dominance of the hops and lack of malty sweetness, it is not actually too bitter, though, and it’s very nice.

On tap in Gerlos, Austria. Golden colour, big head and corny nose. Grainy. Easy to drink. Not much flavour to it, some hops. Okay.

Bottle from Sams on Marcey st, Chicago. Clear golden with large white head. Dry aroma with grain and slight hop spice. Grainy flavor, dry with lager yeast, not too pleasant. Hotly carbonated medium to light body. Okay.

Pours very clear and golden. Lot’s off bubbles... very pretty & maintains a ice head, with great lacing. Smells of straw and malt. Tastes very clean very refreshing, delicious aftertaste. Good hop balance. The beer is nothing breathtaking, but it is very good, It is a bitter winter day here i Iowa, I could see how this would e the perfect beer o a much hotter day.

On tap 25 Jun 07. Golden colored with a bubbling white head. Lots of bubbles emerging from the bottom of the glass. Modest hoppy aroma.Soft mouthfeel. Dry malty flavor with a sweet aftertaste. OK on a warm day in Innsbruck!

Bottle from the Schnitz; Pours a comfortable yellow with a creamy white head. Fresh noble hops build a bold and grassy nose. The Saaz continues to dominate the drinkable body, which is crisp with ample malt backbone. Very well built.

Was my third favorite "national" beer while in Austria. Nothing exceptional. Slightly sweet but drinks easy and nice. No aftertaste. A good pilsner. Will drink again.
