Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 21, 2006 On tap at bewery. Another "like water" brew, mild and unimpressive. I’d pass. No hints of hoppiness at all. gws57 (995), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 6, 2006 Had this one on draught in Geneva, Illinois. Dissappointing. Almost no hops taste or nose whatsoever. It WAS pale in color, however. I guess that counts for something. Cornfield (4331), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA May 2, 2006 The most drinkable of the beers that I had at the brewpub - a slightly hazy brown with a good lacing head. Very mild in the nose and taste, a soft, sweet malt with traces of wheat and a light earthy hopping that lingers into the finish. Sessionable. Stockholm’s, Geneva, IL
RAYBOY01 (1627), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 1, 2006 The most highly hopped of the six brews they currently have on tap here. It has a slightly thin malt caramel malt base and some floral-type hopping. Somewhat thin bodied and not very adventuresome in flavor. The brewer has told me that he is aiming for beers that can be thought of as transitional beers for the macro beer junkies. I’d like to see some fuller flavors and robust brews. But better than half of all beer sold at this venue are there own product, and so somebody must be doing something right, at least commercially.
