CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 12, 2007 Pours a nearly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, wispy light tan head. Earthy sweet dark roasty malty aroma has a touch of dark chocolate. Starts with a nice, light caramel malty sweetness with some fresh hoppiness and a bittersweet, creamy roasty malty finish. This really reminds me a lot of Goose Island’s regualr Oatmeal Stout. hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 10, 2006 120z bottle acquired in trade. Poured a dark black with red edges and an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of earth, roast, coffee, chocolate, roast, and light oatmeal. Tastes of lactose, bitter chocolate, coffee, and some oatmel. Thinner body. hopscotch (4576), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 9, 2007 Bottle... Pours very dark with a small, creamy, off-white head. Milk chocolate, coffee aroma with a touch of lactic acid. Vinous, chocolaty flavor with moderate sweetness, mild bitterness and very light acidity. Full-bodied and velvety with reserved carbonation. Sweet, chocolaty finish. A big SHOUT goes out to growler for splitting the bottle!
