Mar 24, 2008 A bit shout out to Marc for sharing this one. Cloudy golden color. It showed notes of coriander, cookies, oranges and caracao. The mouth was incredibly creamy with an upfront bready character, saffron jumped in there as well. Soft, off sweet, coriander finish with a slightly warming affect. Its flavors really melded well with time and the beer was very rounded. Very very nice, but hardly worth the prices it fetches on Ebay.

Jan 2, 2008 Thanks very much to JohnC for sharing this rare treat. A misty orange pour, lacy white head. Aroma is citrus and spicy sweet. Predominant citrus orange flavors with a yeasty spice background, malt holds everything up with good balance of bitterness and round mouthfeel. This one has aged very well and is quite smooth, a terrific creation to offer from the cellar.

Aug 24, 2007 Orange-peach in colour, lingering white coloured head, light lacing. The aroma was really nothing to spectacular, some fruit, white wine, caramel apples and some light spice. I found the flavour to be actually a bit watery, lightl floral hops do still exist along with some yeast, spice and apples. Medium bitterness in the mouthfeel, medium/light body, mild carbonation. Finishes light, a little bit spicy with just a bit of alcohol warmth. This isn’t holding up as good as I hoped, not sure if its going to hold up for another 5 years but I can’t wait to find out. I still liked it though.

Jun 23, 2007 Updated: Jun 24, 2007Had on tap at stone winter storm ’06 out of a 4 oz tasing class. Hazy orange color with nice white head. Aroma sweet and spicy with a lot of hop notes. Body I described as creamy mellowness in my notes... yep... Flavor was very nice, still had a lot of spices in it, orange and bitterness. Thank you to the brewers for breaking out this five gallon treat.

Jun 18, 2007 What better beer to have as your first rating? It poured a golden yellow color with a large head. The flavor was rather fruity with some citrus. The mouthfeel was very carbonated. I liked it. Thanks again to JohnC for bringing this to Noogfest III.

Jun 12, 2007 Enjoyed at NoogFest III. JohnC is the MAN for bringing this one! I love the Noog! Pours hazy orange with some sediment with a light white head. I’ll note that the sediment was likely from the trip from the west coast and I’m sure it would have settled given time. Sweet Belgian citrus greats your nose, orange and refreshing. I really did not notice any spice, it’s really just a bright smelling brew. Very flavorful with tons of orange and spiced fruit and a caramel finish that is lingering. Good stuff. Very nice body that is well carbonated, medium, and wet. Much more like a suped up Wit than a Belgian strong. I very much enjoyed this and will be brewing my own directly.
