tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA Oct 4, 2009 Poured a cloudy orange gold.
Nose was of orange zest, honey, and peach.
Taste was very good, a little sticky in mouthfeel, tons of honey, nice lemon and orange, not too complex, but very tasty and has held up surprising well. dkachur (2316), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 30, 2009 22 ounce bottle at the Relentless Thirst Gathering in Richmond, VA, 8.29.09. A totally unintentional 2100th rating. Cool. Pours a clear golden amber color with a thin head. Syrupy honeyish aroma with spicy and nutty notes. Taste is honey, bread, peppery spice and leafy notes. Also some toastiness and fruitiness. Medium bodied, DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Aug 28, 2009 Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Shachar. Hazy orange with a white head. Really spicy aroma with some malty notes and fruits. Spicy flavor with lots of vanilla, fruits and some piney hops. Medium-bodied. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel Aug 26, 2009 At a tasting, thanks Shahar, murky orange with lots of sediments floating around. aromas of orange marmalade, apricot vanila and a hint of mud, flavours of peach and vanila pudding with a strong alcoholic presence, medium to full body, short bitter aftertaste. zvikar (413), Tel-Aviv, Israel Aug 25, 2009 Thanks Shachar, orang with a medium off-white head, aroma of honey, caramel, toffee, honey sweets and some herbs, flavor is the same, honey, malt, marmalade and vanilla, body is medium to full. Nice stuff angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA Jul 21, 2009 Bottle thanks to bman1113vr. Hazy aroma pour with a soapy head. Aroma of tangerine citrus, honey and yeast. Flavor is fruity and malty. Thick mouthfeel. BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Jul 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a hardly any head and a deep golden body. Aroma of raisins, bread, honey and berry. Taste is baked bread, berries, oxidation, banana and must. Tickling carbonation and a water like mouthfeel. Still quite good. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 1, 2009 As much as people complain about eBay, I scooped this bottle and a couple of others in an auction on the cheap. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is very sweet with citrus and honey. Very sweet flavor, it is almost buttery. Good clove and sweetness. It really held up a lot better than I would have thought. I remember tasting lime when I had this fresh back in 04 (my first Stone beer) but I don’t find a hint of it now. Good stuff...how do I get a hold of an 03 now?
