This beer smells, tastes really FRESH, its got a little bit of that homebrew freshness to it. Sweet but not too sweet like some belgians can be. Nice full mouth feel. Very well balanced. I was suprised when I noticed the high alcohol content on the side of the bottle, it is not apparent at all while drinking it. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2004 Pours with a small, diminishing head; aromas of lime, clove, and banana; flavor is somewhat peppery and spicy, with notes of corriander, orange peel, perfume, citrus; presents a noticable alcoholic burn and dry finish after a sweet, slick mouthfeel. I don’t care for this one. It's just way too perfumey, and the lime leaf, though I like lime, doesn't improve a thing, flavorwise........ Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was very similar to a cross between a wheat beer and a tripel and the color was a cloudy yellow. The flavor was again a cross between the two styles with a somewhat dry finish. Well worth a try and another fine beer from the brewers at Stone. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA

Not an overpowering flavor but present. Again, If you asked what this was without knowing, I’d of guess a German Hefeweizen. Very nice beer. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Clear Gold, no head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and freash bread. Flavor is citrusy, with a hop presence (this Stone, after all) mixing well with a malty backbone. Interesting hop flavor - Is it Saaz? I can never tell - and a recognizably "Belgian" vibe throughout. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Amber with a thick white head and nice lacing. Looks good. Malty aromas, spciy hops, small bitter. Oranges maybe or pears. Big lime in the flavors. Spicy. Malts and bitter hops. Alcohol and some floral qualities. Spicy with a light body and a lingering finish of lime and hops. BückDich (4851), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Clear gold with nice carbonation and white head & sticky lacing. The aroma is full of light hops, alcohol, spice & a fruity belgian yeast. The flavor is spicy with some acidity & high hop bitterness. Some anticipated malt notes and a dry overall mouthfeel. There’s a faint note in the tail that reminds me of uni or japanese steamed egg custard. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

A murky yellow color with a decent head. The flavor was very interesting. Some musky horseblanket flavors combined with some grapefruit and lemons. This was a much better effort than the hyped up Symposium. This would be a good one in small amounts.
