APPEARANCE: Dark brown to black with a tan head. AROMA: Fruity, phenolic yeast notes with dark malt roastiness. FLAVOR: Clove, smooth roasted malt, mild spiciness, and some hop bitterness. A dry finish with apparent alcohol. PALATE: Medium to full-bodied, good carbonation…no astringency. OVERALL: Very full and complex…not sure how it will develop.

Bomber-Trade w/after4ever-Poured a dark brown w/almost no head. Sweet floral aroma. Somewhat sweet flavor up front-dates & raisens, Caramel & yeast. Has a malt finish to balance it out. Had some good carbination to it, somewhat chewy-very smooth, easy drinking brew. Alcohol was well hidden. Long sweet finish, fairly comlex brew.

This dark brown ale poured with a modest tan head, eliciting a strong malty aroma. The flavor is fruity (mostly raisin) and complex with a warming alcohol characteristic. I’m fairly certain this brew would improve with age, but is a great drink at the present.

on tap at bistro. this beer is an interesting concoction. it is a belgian style but has more dark malt than most belgians. definetly raisin with belgian fruitiness and spice but also bring some chocolate in there to.

Appears black until held to light. Then you get some nice ruby high lights to go with is slight tan head. The aroma very rum raisin, or bread pudding. Flavors of mulled spices, chocolaty robustness, warm alcohol, and a nice touch of bitterness. Palate is rich and well rounded. I do think I made a mistake by opening this today. With luck, I will be able to purchase another bottle.

A very curious beer. It was very fruity and complex, but I am not sure what I would call the beer. Of course it is some kiknd of belgian style, but I enjoyed it more than I do other belgians as it was not completely to style.
