I know i’m not supposed to drink it now, so we got a second to save. Lots of clove in the flavor roasted malt gives it is smooth flavor and color, which is very dark for a dubbel.. Love to see how the second one does.

Bottle. A dark brown color with a light brown head. Richly spiced aroma with cloves, raisins, banana, candy, chocolate and bread. The spiced aroma comes through well on the palate with a light yet powerful zing on the tongue.

Extremely dark brown ruby body with a nice dense lasting tna head. Looks quite appealing. The aroma is loaded with dark fruits and plenty of sweetness. THe flavor is quite sweet with some hints of spiciness, but mainly sweet chewy dark fruitiness. The palate is very dry and not as chewy as would expect given the overall sweetness. Better than some of the past efforts in this series and one that will probably age better than some of the others as well.

armoa is rich and complex including strong yeatiness along with coriander, cloves, dark fruit as well as strong notes of dark maltiness. not huge. appearance is dark brown that is quite opaque that admits only a few redish notes. the flavor also is complex. it starts up front with spiciness and yeastiness with cloves and coriander also dark fruit notes. the end of the beer features dark malty roastiness. the finish features dark maly roastiness and a nice bitter hoppiness along with some lingering spicy notes. mouth feel is substantial and carbonated. alchohol notes are present in mouthfeel and flavor. flavor and finish though quite interesting and complex are not as bold as it could be. seems like aging will make this beer truly great. bottle part deux in 12.12.12 will be neat.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a tan head. Roasty, yeasty (mostly spice) aroma. Dark malt and roast flavor with banana, caramel, coffee, spice, yeast and some background hops. A lot of flavors, but nice balance. Fuller bodied - a bit chewy. Will age nicely.
