Dark mahogany pour with no head. Smoky, fruity, malt aroma. Very smooth mouth feel. The taste on this followed the path of the aroma but with a more pronounced malt flavor than anything else. The alcohol definitely came through as it warmed.

Tasted around its release date and around the release of 777. The 666 is a great brew. Pours like a dubbel would be all silky and mildy dark. Deep fruity esthers waft off the beer in the malty plum and raisin context. Very smooth and sublte blend of slight roast, nuts, and lots of sweet dark fruits take over the palate with each sip. Definitely has a small lingering chocolate sense. Mild finish. Been hearing this one has been tasting good...glad I saved a few!

Thanks alot beer bill for sending me this in a trade. it was dumped into a snifter and had a dark nut brown with a thick head which faded right away and leaft a thin head and some minor streaks along the sides of the glass. the aroma has a lot of different things in it like hints of earth and soil as well as some mild traces of cider and fruits. There is also some hits of hops with roasted malt. Once the beer warms up and i took my first sip it had some creamy bitterness initially with spices like anise and some hints of clove. there is not much flavor lasting in your mouth once the beer has gone down your throat. Over all this is a very good beer, the booze is well hidden and this is a good beer to just sip on.

this was better than i was expecting. spicy fruit and malty reminded me of rabbid rabbit from fff very good and will enjoy in future.i would not pass up

Courtesy of Emerica56! Pours a murky brown color with a small offwhite head. Nose of cocoa, old pennies, earthy malts,mollasses, and spices. Initial taste of mild cocoa,dark fruits, prunes are also apparent. Hint of earthiness lingers before finishing with mild bitter hops and syrupy stickness. Medium body smooth finish. Good palate duration. Dry finish. Very drinkable

22oz bottle. Pours a dark reddish amber color with a medium off white head. Aroma of spices, roasted malt and dark fruit. Taste is semi sweet over ripe fruit, caramel malt and spices. Has a nicely balanced flavor with a semi sweet finish.

I had every intention of cellaring this for at least 6 months but despite the phalanx of Stone IPAs, Ruination & Smoked Porter in my beer fridge, this one kept calling out like a siren of barley elixer.... Pours a deep dark mahogany and supports a tall dense light tan head with lasting retention. Spicy aroma on top of roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate and licorice. Complex flavors with faint dark fruits, toffee, pepper and caramel playing suporting roles to a solid roasted barley and smoky backbone. Hops don’t really show themselves in earnest until the other flavors have moved off stage (a bit unusual for a Stone brew). Rich silky texture and a long, smooth, slightly spicy finish with a fair but appropriate warming alcohol kick. Yes, I’ll miss this in 6 months when I originally intended to open it, but I won’t have forgotten it. Another spectacular Stone showcase.

Bomber. barleyPops shared the good stuff with me, as always. Thanks, Dad! Was pleasantly surprised with this beer. Dark brown pour with some roasty and spicy notes in the aroma. Fruity, spicy, malty flavor as well. Could definitely tell this had some age, but I think the age contributed a certain smooth mellowness to it that really made this one enjoyable to drink.
