| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a creamy, large bubbled head, slightly cloudy , pale orange color....nose almost like a Christmas cookie, cardamom predominates, with a bit of clove, ginger and citrus....tastes of multiple spices, including all the previously mentioned, not much hop addition. Finishing flavors were a bit off. I need to get a couple of more bottles to let it age. robinvboyer (1429), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 22, 2008 poured into my duvel tulip. Bright golden pour with a white frothy head. Aroma is so pleasing! Loads of spicy hops, apricot, peach, candi sugar, even some pumpkin spice, and a slight peppery saison like aroma. VERY NICE! The flavour is sweet and very enjoyable, buttery soft, and loaded with spice, and a touch of citrus hops. Wow, this is an amazing beer!!! there is a slight apple finish that mingles with more subtle spices, and pumpkin notes. Wow, the year of age on this bottle did it a world of good, outstanding! durhambeer (1215), Durham, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Tap from Tyler’s. Surprised to hear this called a mix of a Saison and a Golden Triple. The latter influence seemed clear but the former was a little less so. Bright golden pour with just a bit of haziness. Some yeast and Belgian sugar that I would expect from a tripel, and I guess the saison influence came from a bit of spice and orange peel. Was served a bit too cold so it took awhile for the subtle flavors to come out. Solid, but not amazing. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 12, 2008 I poured this Bomber into my Duvel glass because it just seemed right. This brew looked great in the glass big white head that trails off to a thick lace. The color of the body was a clear brilliant orange.
Smells like a Belgian, tons of yeast and spices, along with a big citrus bite in the end. The aromas are great on this and even gets better as it warms the spices become more evident
Flavors of this mimic the nose a lot I can see how cellaring this thing might tame some of these spices. Glad I have one more to try in a few years
Treat this brew like a sipper and you will be rewarded it gets better as it warms and the alcohol will sneak up on you if drink it to fast.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Pours a light amber-gold with a fairly loose, medium white head. Aroma is dominated by spice in three forms: from the fermentation, from the hops, and from the actual spices added. This does include the citrus peel elements (and others) mentioned in the description along with what seems like white pepper and grains of paradise. The flavor follows logically from the aroma descriptors with extra malt sweetness and some significant alcohol characteristics as well. Finishes quite clean and warm with a lighter, yet assertive body holding things together. fidel (945), Livermore, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 I feel kinda stupid cracking this open without reading the "instructions." I had no idea this was meant to be aged so long. Is this why its score goes down every year? Anyway, was really surprised to notice how Belgian this tastes...the sugars and yeasts are like a heady yet gentle Tripel, but the nose contains hops, juicy pink grapefruit and candied lemon peel. A little syrupy and undercarbonated at the moment. Quite unusual and nicely done. I love the existence of hybrid beers, even if they haven’t quite learned to make them gel just yet, because it opens the door open for greatness in the future.
