Easy to drink at 8.4%, but too much Belgian style is not my favorite. Nice to try but I had a laugh when I saw what outrageous prices people were paying for this on ebay. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Bottled. Good beer but I’d hoped for better. Pours hazy orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma is carmaley malt, spice and alcohol. Suprisingly the 8.4 ABV overpowered much of the spicey, yeasty flavour. Once again, good but nothing out of the ordinary from Stone. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2008 As noted, pours golden color with not much head. Didn’t really stand out as anything special - maybe I just have such high expectations for Stone but this one didn’t do much for me. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA

Smells yeasty and bready, slightly fruity, slightly spicey. Tastes bready and cereal malt sweet with a good bit of spice. Tastes bready and cereal sweet with a good bit of spice, some citrus and a little bit of hops to finish it off. Medium body, fizzy carbonation. BenDover (130), Texas, USA

Flavor is citrus, fruity, halfway between a Saison and a Tripel (pretty much as advertised). This is fantastic stuff. I love it. Tweety (344), Vancouver, Washington, USA

It was nothing more than a generically belgian-tasting ale. I’d write more, but nothing about it really stuck out in my mind, a disappointment, really...although not bad I guess. boto (1352), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2008 22oz bomber: This one pours a slightly hazy, darker golden color. There was a bit of white foam on the top that settles down to a thin layer . The nose is nice. Yeastiness, breadiness, spices, earthiness, there is a lot going on here. Boy, this is smooth. A hint of effervesence on the tongue. Spicy taste, with some of the breadiness in the background. Nice body. Very Nice!
