Oct 8, 2007 Oily, tangy, and funky like Belgian Ales, I guess, are supposed to be? Granted, I am drinking this five years before it’s supposed to be enjoyed; but I think this tastes like steeped gym socks.

Oct 7, 2007 This stayed in my beer fridge for several months before I broke down and cracked ’er open. I’d tried it once at a beer tasting. This poured with a bright orange color, but heavily sedimented with particals suspended in mid-beer ... ew. The aroma is spicy, like a fresh baked loaf of fruit cake or something. It drinks smoothly, but with a distinctly herbal flavor component, with a base of pear-laced fruitiness. The "chunkiness" in the visual aside, this is still a wonderful beer. Pair this awesome beer with ...well ... anything. (#3127, 10/7/2007)

Oct 6, 2007 Heavy alcohol presence on the nose - Lots of pear, apple, and lemon. Pretty drty, spicy and nutty. Fairly plain belgian ale - a little thin and overly sweet. Alcohol not well hidden - glad I did not buy a bunch of these as I would be digging through the garbage looking for the receipt - not bad, but very overpriced and overrated.

Oct 6, 2007 Pours a cloudy dark golden with a rich tan head. Very nice citrus aroma and sweet fruit. Nice flavor of citrus, apple and cherry; with a subtle ginger tang. Medium body with lots of spices, some yeast, and soft alcohol at the end. A very nice beer.

Oct 4, 2007 1 pt. 6 fl oz, thanks to Papsoe. Pours golden yellow, clear, with a white lacing head. Dried fruity and slight herbal/spiced. Flavour is heavy spiced, ginger. Some minor citrus fruity notes are present, but it all drowns in ginger. Finish is slight cloying. Not good. Well crafted, I just don’t like ginger.

Oct 3, 2007 Updated: Jul 15, 2008Sampling again in July 2008. This has smooth out a little bit and has gotten more fruity, especially in the taste. Thanks for sharing, general_gao. The body was dark gold with a khaki head. The aroma was apples, cherries and musky leather. The taste had some carmel with some almonds. The body was surprisingly light. Pretty good and also interesting.

Sweet and spicy aroma of citrus, bubble gum and fruits.
Flavour of fruits, spices, citrus, yeast and hops.
Dry hoppy finish.

Oct 2, 2007 Bomber shared by xnoxhatex at Andrew’s bachelor party. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Yeasty citrussy aroma with an enveloping creaminess. Creamy citrus flavors spicy doughy and soapy. with an unbalanced finish. Meh ... another overhyped epic. Lets see how much this one goes for.
