Nose held soft notes of ginger and lavender that sit on underlying notes of lemon cookie and toasted grains. Flavor is full of muted ginger and spiced lemon twists that balance on dried citrus peel tones from start to finish. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry, spiced, citric finish. The Epic series is always interesting, and this one is no exception. Unique and nicely done, but not sure how great this would age.... turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours clear orange yellow, bubbly off white head. Aroma is spicy, funky, musty, tangy, alcohol and also banana. Flavor is the same with some tomato and bitterness. I can definitely taste the alcohol and slight acetone. This should be aged longer because it will probably settle down and mellow out. Although I aged the bomber since purchase in July, I was too impetuous to drink this now. Let this be a lesson. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Hazy amber with a bubbly ecru head that fizzled away quickly without a trace. Very aromatic: banana, bubblegum, clove, cardamom, ginger. Sweet palate, full bodied, salty finish. Well made, but a full bomber became too much for me. waolsen (1223), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2007 The aroma is very good but the beer seems a bit rough with the cardamom spice and other spices which seem to linger in the aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden. The beer has a nice golden brown color. It is a bit on the wet side and could use more carbonation. The yeastiness comes out (sneeze fest for me afterwards). But, there is a very enjoyable sweet golden lemony aspect of this beer which could be really accentuated in a year or two’s time. haggis03a3 (138), Piedmont, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2007 Gold color with a white head. Malty-wheat, sweet aroma with citrus, spice and Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet with all of the aroma elements and hops making for a complex brew. There is quite a bit of body as well.
