Yeasty and quite caramelly ale with apple-like and exotic fruit notes. Floral hops come off rather sharp in its aromas. A bit rough-edged for what it tries to be, not too aromatic outside the hops and kinda syrupy on the palate with that softest of carbonation. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Aroma is rich and sweet with cinnamon notes. Flavor has light clean hop flavor with some citric fruits, spices and some bitterness. Very refreshing, and overall great ale. Aroma of ginger, other spice, lots of citrus, Belgian yeast and spices, some light alcohol along with a bready sweet maltiness. Flavors of ginger and other spices up front, honey, dry, Belgian yeast and spices, bready malts, some grassiness and mixed citrus. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Flavor was a mix of sweet citrus, yeast, soapy and a spice ginger bitterness that would be good if you had a cold. Sour bitter on the palate. More like a triple than a saison to me. harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Bottle at LCRBM3. Spicy, cinnamon, no real body or malts at all. Almost like liquid sick (apparently). Bit disappointing. Too much candy sugar. Oakes (8139), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Hazy vibrant amber. Very spicy nose - ginger, ginseng, star anise. On the palate it’s all about caramelly malt and light spice. The finish is slightly chewy and a little bit toasty. Not sure about aging it, but it’s a pleasing Belgian-style brew. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Sep 16, 2007 This was an interesting, but very stange beer. I have never tasted anything like this... aroma was of spices and I picked up some mint, smoke, and some kind of cooked bean. the beer poured a deep gold with an orange hue with a head that quickly diminished to just a ring around the glass. Flavor is too sweet for style, and didn’t make for too enjoyable of a drink, espcially with the cooked bean aroma being one of the tastes that hit that back of your tongue as well. Palate was full. Overall this was not a beer I enjoyed, but one that intrigued and confused me from start to finish. MesandSim (5941), London, Greater London, England

Bottle at LCRBM3. Awful, absolutely awful. Nothing Belgian about it at all if you ask me. Just some dull sweetness with a bit of fruit. Massively over rated and in my opinion and it’s only at 3.5 overall. A complete charlatan.
