Fruity tangerine, biscuit, musty and estery aroma. Light but complex. Taste is smooth and malty, yeasty with a nice blend of citrusy hops. Quite a nice Belgian ale with good complexity and taste. boFNjackson (1318), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Belgian strong ale with elements of amerian ale and german wheat. There self description is quite accurate: nuances of pepper, clove, and banana from the Belgian yeast strain, and the resiny citrus notes from the American hops blend together nicely to provide a complex aromatic character. The taste is spicy, hoppy and fruity, with a very dry and a pleasant bitter end. carruthm (1167), Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma was of belgian spices and yeast but the taste packed some pepper spicy flavors as well. Should age ok. altehkiller (71), , California, USA
