Commercial Description:
The Stone 08.08.08 Vertical Epic Ale is a Strong Golden Belgian style ale highly hopped with American hops (Ahtanum, Amarillo and Simcoe). The beer pours pale golden with a thick and creamy white head of foam. The aroma is full of depth: nuances of pepper, clove, and banana from the Belgian yeast strain, and the resiny citrus notes from the American hops blend together nicely to provide a complex aromatic character. The taste is spicy, hoppy and fruity, with a very dry and a pleasant bitter end. The bitterness lingers nicely, and provides a refreshing finish that leads you to want to drink more and more of this beer!

Obama!

Bottle from a box ordered from Beers of Europe, consumed 31-01-09 Pours a pale golden colour with a white fluffy head. Wonderful fruity orangey nose to this beer and a little yeast. The taste is marvellous, plenty of bitter tangerines, nice citric hop kick that streaks around the mouth entwined with a nice dollop of honey, its a little spicy, bit dry its lovely, really lovely. Draft at Stone Winter Storm! (01/25/09) Poured a light golden hue with a thin off white head. Good Belgium yeast with a nice hop underlying.

Drank from a 22 oz and poured into a snifter. Has a dark yellow honey color with a decent foamy head almost reminds me of a pilsner because of the color and carbonation. I got the smell of fruit, slight pine and even slighter alcohol. plan on buying a couple more bottles to drink and a few more to save for 2012

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet pineapple, grapefruit and sugar. The flavor was sweet, tangy, piney and fruity with a sugary undertone and a long, tangy and hoppy finish. The mouthfeel was moderately thick. Tasty.

Pours a clear gold with white head. Nice and fruity with pepper, banana, citrus, and grassy hops. Fairly bitter for the apparent style. I like it.

Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Good lacing. Aroma is peppery with a little banana and alot of citrusy hops. Taste is more of the same, mostly hops with a strong belgian yeast backbone. Finishes very dry and very bitter. Good stuff, like a Belgian IPA. Medium body and carbonation.
