Strong pear and pineapple. Some citrus hops and light malts. Color is a slightly hazy bright orange. Light and tart flavor. More pear and pineapple along with some light grassy malts and a solid bitterness that plays very nicely with the fruit. Finishes clean. A very good golden belgian ale. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2008 mmm... tasty Belgian backed with some lovely west coast hops. Aroma of apples, some banana, some faint alcohol. Appearance is somewhat cloudy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Some noticeable yeast. Flavor is chewy and rich for something this new. Probably will get better with time. Very drinkable, but friends who had it felt like it was maybe a bit too strong. leaparsons (4744), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 19, 2008 22oz bottle-pours a rich white head that laces and hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is pine/citrus hops, some mange, coriander/pepper, medium malt-bready. Taste has a lot going on. Perfumy/spice/citrus hops-somewhat bitter, spice-too much, black pepper (which dominates and detracts), some medium malt/grainy, yeast. Dry. OK for sipping. Some alcohol comes through. Thanksjwc215 for picking this out.
