A really really well crafted beer. Pours deep brown with a thin lacey head. A deep chocolate flavor with some heavy earthy tones. Nicely done. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Pours a rich dark brown, with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, and Belgian yeast. Notes of bananas, caramel, brown sugar, coffee, and dark fruit. On the palate, it is slightly carbonated. The flavor brings out the chocolate a little more forward and it also pulls out a bit of vanilla. It finishes a bit dry. I actually preferred the 07.07.07 and the 08.08.08 over this one, but it is still pretty good. I do want to age one of these, I can see some potential in allowing this one to sit. nickmbeer (1), Maryland, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Cracked this open last night. 22oz bottle was laying around for about a month. Had quite the Belgian aroma. Tasted of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee and a bit of Belgian yeast. Poured very dark with a light brown head. Finish was pretty dry. Overall not one of my favorite beers, but I saw potential with aging it. aracauna (2389), Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2009 This really isn’t a bad beer. I’d drink it on a regular basis if it were priced for that sort of drinking. Nice roast actually goes well with the faint citrus. I like this one. michael-pollack (2688), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
