Commercial Description:
Stone 10th Anniversary IPA harkens back to our earlier Anniversary Ales, with abundant hopping at many stages of the brewing process. Appropriately, the aroma is over-the-top, with pronounced piney and resiny hop flavors combined with tropical fruit esters and more subtle notes of toasted malts and alcohol. Our Stone 10th Anniversary Ale weighs in at 10% alcohol by volume (perfect for a 10th anniversary beer), and has a little more color and malt character than our other IPAs. In addition to using the new Summit hop variety in the brewhouse to provide the powerful bitterness, we went back through our records and found some of our favorite hops over the years, and used them to flavor this brew, including Chinook, Crystal, and large doses of Simcoe in the dry-hop to provide a huge, complex, piney, fruity and floral hop character. This is a colossal beer, big in every sense: hoppy, malty, rich, and strong! Right up our alley.

Aroma is very sweet, with a hint of berries and apricots. Appearance is wonderful. Dark brown and orange combine to make a nice hue. Head is abundant but settles quickly. Mouthfeel is smooth with a nice sweet apricot/fruity taste. Flavor is excellent, full of hops and has a lingering pleasent taste. An excellent brew.

(Bottle, thanks Pelle) Pours light hazy amber red. Fruity, perfumy, light peppery hop aroma with grapefruit, some pine and floral notes. Undertones of caramel, nuts and dried fruits. Very fresh and clean nose. Light fruity and light alcoholy flavour with grapefruit, caramel and hints of toffee. Medium rasiny and medium sweet. Round and smooth mouthfeel. The afterbitterness is lightly acid-ish and citrusy. Clean and dry. Full body.

Pours out a nice deep amber color with a medium tan head. Aroma is very hoppy, with nice grassy, citrus undertones. Flavor just fills your mouth with a hoppy smack in the face with a nice grassy finish. WOW this is a great brew.

Part of the hop heaven West Coast package from awaisansen,,aroma is very aggresive hopping, sharp overpowering, lots going on here, almost to much sort of becomes muddled, pine is the predominant fragrance, taste is biscuity malt with that whole slew of all kind of hop taste, grassy hops piney hops, malt is there but keeps getting lost ,alcohol presence became huge, and along with the huge hop bitternessreally nailed you with a sharpness in the finish. This may be one of the first brews I would consider overhopped, maybe I’m not worthy

Druaght: Floral hop aroma. Poured copper/amber in color with a medium-sized white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Great lacing. Flavor was all hops. Tasted of pine, alcohol, and resin. Also a hint of mint in there. Medium body. Dryish texture. Lively carbonation. Overall, alcohol flavor a little too strong.

The aroma was citrusy and malty with a strong estery presence. Grapefruit and a resiny, piney and citrusy hop led the charge backed up by a strong presence of caramel and a lightly nutty aromatic. The amber beer was clear with an off-white lasting head which retreated quickly but laced the glass. The flavor was malty with a strong malt backbone and a substantial bittering that was piney, resinous and citrusy, but not overdone or intrusive. the flavor was estery and fruity, but pleasantly so. The malt and hops were well achieved leading to a strong balance in the 10% ABV flavor. On the palate the body was just full, not viscous, but on the creamy side for mouthfeel with a moderate level of carbonation. Overall a very nice and smooth Double IPA. 22 ounce bottle.

Bottle from Sprinkle at Crwon liqour. Thanks bro. Very smooth velvety texture. Pours a nice cloudy orange with a froathy cram head that goes away fast. Smell of malt, hops and caramel. Taste is somewhat muscky with a sweet biscuity hops. Some very nice lacing going on though. Thick coats of froathy head seemed to just stick to the glass. Over all a nice beer.
