Good hangtime w/ supetb lace work. Aromas are mild reaching for dark fruit on a defined roast. Full nectar w/ good carbonation that thickens up like pudding on a hot stove. Huge chocolate and roasted coffee bean come screaming at me as if on fire. Moderately sweet and leathery w/ iodine and a lactic souring that exposes itself like a field mouse in the comfort of nightfall. The finish lingers long w/ a charred sweetness and a final hop bittering. dchmela (1440), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Updated: Jun 2, 2009Bomber, recently released. Black color with pretty dark foam, and a head that diminishes in a short amunt of time and leaves an oily layer of foam. Smells mostly of dark chocolate, roasted grain, and alcohol. The flavor has a strong baker’s chocolate bitterness, some malty sweetness, alcohol hotness, and some burnt notes. The roasted flavors leave a slight burnt and acidic flavor. The body is a little lighter than I expected, considering the oatmeal. A little syrupy feeling, with lower carbonation. A little too much straight alcohol and bitter chocolate for me. A nice sipper, but I can see how this could improve a good deal with some time. (3.8) Rerate: A ten month old bottle doesn’t even quite seem up to a fresh one I had. Too boozy, with a weird mouthfeel, and the chocolate seems detached from the rest of the flavors. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Aroma is boozy, with some roasted malt, and a touch of bitter chocolate. Flavour is again very boozy with a touch of coffee, and some chocolate. The mouthfeel is a little thin, i’m not getting any of the oatmeal benefits. This is really quite boozy, and maybe with some time to age it would mellow out a bit. Good aroma, yup, Baking chocolate and oat, little fruity some raspberry and/or cherry,. Blackish brown color, small head, no lace. Bitter sweet flavor, like aroma basically. Thick, body, oily creamy mouth feel, bitter dry finish. Wow, weird, but to me the chocolate and oat see to play against each other, oat mellow the bitter chocolate and bitter chocolate hides the oats usual smoothness. Still kind of hot. Really enjoyed rolling this one around the mouth as it got thicker as it went. adrian910ss (1424), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Pours dark with a uniquely dark chocolate-milk colored head. Big roasty flavors with lingering dark chocolate bitterness that is masked upfront by a tangy saltiness that reminds me of soy sauce, teriyaki, or smoked malts. Great balance of creamy mouthfeel and carbonation.
