Bottle courtesy of some wonderfull person from Dunedin Brewery. Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of bitter chocolate, oats, roasted malt, and coffee. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness from the chocolate and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Bomber. It’s good to see the 10th anniversary demon has been brought back on their newest. Pours a dark brown color with a medium chunky head. Aroma was the definitive bitter chocolate along with roasted dark malt. Taste added creamy oatmeal and just a hint of dark fruit. Pretty warm with alcohol. Medium-full body.

Put the kids to bed, time to relax and contemplate the future for a bit...this seemed to be the ideal bomber for just such an occasion. Pours like a hearty stout should with an opaque black body, fluffy tan head, and sticky/spotty lacing. Dominant aroma of dark chocolate creates a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Heavy cream and a rich, smoky, organic earthiness are evident in the powerful aroma along with plenty of coffee and cocoa scents. Heavy and filling mouth feel that remains creamy with a silky smoothness. This beer is ready to drink now, I see no need for additional aging. A well rounded decadence, this beer is grand and amazing on the palate. Rich, hearty flavor full of smooth rolled oats, roasted-burnt malts, thick molasses, and old coffee. Creamy, bitter dark chocolate is the center of attention within the well layered flavor. I wouldn’t call this overly complex, but it does taste incredible. A robust stout, most definitely to my liking, top notch.

22oz bottle. This is one black beer! Nice semi-sweet chocolate in the aroma with a nice infusion of roasted grain. Very full aroma. I was worried that this would be too sweet and overly heavy based on the aroma but I was pleasantly surprised. Semi-sweet chocolate is well integrated with roasted grains and creamy milky note. Nothing is overpowering and everything is very well matched together. Creamy mouth feel that is very round. A great job on this one.

Multiple 22 oz bombers over its run. Beautiful dark pour with a light brown medium sized head. They don’t stint on the bitterness in the chocolate, which could have been a novelty but paid off quite well. Well balanced with a little bit of sweetness in the body so as to not turn off pickier drinkers. I’m going to miss this one when it’s gone.

Pours a thick black color with a brown head. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, molasses, and some dark fruits. Starts off a little sweet of caramel, chocolate, and molasses. Finish is bitter with roasted malts and coffee. Slight warming but not overly strong.

Bottle. Black body, stouty nose, good solid dark tan head. Creamy, oily mouthfeel, hides alcohol well, good stout flavors but less than you might expect for a big beer. Very drinkable with no flavor flaws. Not particularly bitter.
