Great especially for an oatmeal stout full flavor with good mouth feel and a not overly bitter finish.

Poured from bomber almost completely black and thick, showed little to no light brown foamy head. Aroma of bitter chocolates, hops, burnt vanilla beans and coffee. Flavour of bitter hops, burnt oats, coffee and malt comes through. Extremely smooth beer, flavour supreme, vanilla nicely balances this beer, makes me want more!! Sticky mouth feel, oily in character, give me gallons on Tap!!!! Stone does it again, had in my fridge for about 3 months, begging me, there fore ins gone, with pleasure........

Very smooth and delicous...just goes way too quickly! one of the easiest drinking heavy beers Ive had the pleasure to try. Reasonably bitter chocolate taste that slides down the throat. Would age well I think

Bomber. Black, motor oil pour with a medium brown head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste of dark chocolate, oatmeal with roasted almonds present and a really nice even but bitter finish.

Bottle, thanks M@. Oily-thick black with thick brown head. Nose of coffee, black chocolate, toasted marshmallow. Mildly sweet flavor with slightly dark and smoky edge. Bit of pumpernickel type sourness. Nice thick MF. Roasty aftertaste.

I gotta say, I was pretty stoked to try this beer, stone is one of my favorite breweries and they never disappoint. I expected this beer to be a little better than it was, but it was still pretty damn good. Pours as black as a beer can be with a decent chocolate brown head that melts to nothing. The aroma is the standard coffee and chocolate, with notes of vanilla, black licorice, and alcohol. The flavour is a pretty good reflection of the aroma, starts off with a a bit of dark coffee, some black licorice in the middle, a subtle note of vanilla bean, and finishes with a strong dark chocolate finish that lasts until you take the next sip. A very satisfying beer, with a nice velvety mouth feel that does the beer justice. Just wish it was a touch more complex. Still a top notch beer from a top notch brewery!

Bomber. Thanks to kegbear for this one. Pours dark brown to black with nice and thick dark tan head. Nose is of roasted malt, oat, bittersweet chocolate, caramel and some dark fruit. Flavor is heavy with roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. Also has notes of coffee, caramel, oat and some light booze. Nice and silky mouthfeel but not thin. Finishes bitter with some nice alcohol warmth. Nicely done.

Very thick and chocolatey, Almost completely opaque and feels full on the tongue. Light carbonation. There is a little heat from the alcohol but the beer is so dense that it is in the background,
