| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 15, 2009 ~ Purchased this 22 oz bomber from New Beer Distributors in Manhattan, NY. This stout pours black with a dark tan head that vanishes into oblivion. It smells of bitter chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, and a touch of alcohol. The taste is amazing! It’s smooth, silky, and highly drinkable. At 9.2% ABV, this went down effortlessly.
A must try. Highly recommended! ~ planky84 (148), , Greater London, England

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Pours a dark black color with a thick tan head that floated nicely on top of the liquid beer. the nose was extremely robust and full of chocolate malt and roasted barley. You can smell the floral resin hops nicely. As you sip on it there is intense chocolate and coffee that hit your palate and stick to the sides of your mouth. There is some smokey oak flavor but it is very minute. The roasted barley is very overpowering. Overall it has a great appearance, carbonation, and balanced flavor.
