Well balanced taste. Not overly hopped but with a firm body. Lightly dry finish. Nice aged taste, wood feel. Great. jzzbassman (849), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

Cirtusy aroma with a beautiful hop flavor, with solid malt profile. Lightly roasted, with a bitter loverly finish. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Dark brown color, smallish head and some lacing. An overpowering aroma and flavor of caramel malts with strong pine hops. This reminded me of Old Guardian in many ways. Strong alcohol burn, but not detracting. Nice. jb (1055), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 5, 2009 I love the look of this one, very reddish tinged brown. Thick foamy head, lots of retention. Aroma is large, and mostly hops based, pine, but in the back is caramel. Mouthfeel is rather nice, nice surprisingly tame and lush. Toffee, malty, a bit resinous as you continue sipping. At the end is a very dry hoppy finish. Really good. HOPSHUNTER (389), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Bottle. Poured a medium dark reddish brown with a tall creamy eggshell color head. Aroma is powerfull, massive, piney, floral, citrus HOPS! First sniff and I know a hop bomb is coming. Full bodied with a very crisp mouthfeel. Flavor is abrasive, rude, and unapologetic hops, and I loved it!!! Strong caramel malt base somewhat nutty, but the big brash aromatic hops really are the star of this show. Not very balanced at all which is exactly why I loved it. Finish is biting bitterness. YUM!!!!! Slacks (486), Bolton, Ontario, Canada

I’m ecstatic to get that sip, but I have to make it count. It’s a deep, opaque amber in colour; no head when I got to it, can’t speak to what it was on the pour. Aroma is pine hops, citrus, sweet fruit.. so interesting. Flavour is pine and citrus hops, sugary malts, really nice. It’s warm but I had no idea it was 9.5% warm, which is saying something. Wow.. just a great start to a great party, only wish I’d had a bit more. raindog (559), Evansville, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Updated: Sep 5, 2009Brown/dark red. Nice big, khaki, head with lasting retention. Powerful pine cone aroma with minty alcohol and underlying sweet malt. Thick, coating, texture. Upfront citric, and strong, too strong, toffee flavors. Following is mouth coating pine, bitterness and underlying minty, alcohol. Finish is very lingering orange rind, pine and malt. Cold this is all bitterness and alcohol. Warmed up it balances out a bit,but becomes overly sweet, with mouth stinging bitterness. While being overly sweet, the malts also give off a mushy character. I could see how many would like this,I wanted too,but just don’t care for this. cstuartj (326), Washington, USA
