| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle. Reddish brown pour with off white head. Fresh citrus hop and pine hop aroma with sugary malt and bread underneath. Flavor is the same, very resinous and the hops taste very nice. Some white sugar sweetness balances the bitter. brigg (216), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Aroma is floral hops, very fruity, somewhat tart, sweet malt, and some alcohol. Flavor has alternating sweet, nutty malt and grapefruit hops. Alcohol is starts out moderately strong, but increases steadily on the way back to a nice warmth, and lingers afterward along with the hops. Full-bodied, moderate carbonation. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA

Nose is caramel, red grapefruit, booze, pine, and floral hops. Flavor is hoppy as hell- like a hop grenade that just went supernova. Lots of caramel, pine sap, yeast, booze, and lots of tart, dry citrus. Pretty good, but a total hop grenade. MishkinBeer (65), , New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Stone’s 13th Anniversary Ale is a very robust and intense beverage. Be prepared for extreme hoppiness and a load of unhidden alcohol! It pours a deep dark red with a tan head. Aroma is of the traditional Stone floral hop variety - quite lovely. Roasted nuts and some smokiness provide some character in the flavor. The yeast left just enough sweetness to make this ale go down smoothly. A very strong, celebratory beer. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
