Commercial Description:
Stone 13th Anniversary Ale pours brilliant deep red with a light tan foam. Up front, the aroma is all piney, resinous and citrus hops. Upon tasting, the hops are still on the front, and they are balanced with the malty, toffee like flavors contributed from the blend of crystal and amber malts used in the brewhouse. The finish is deliciously bitter, with a touch of warmth provided by the 9.5% alcohol. Bitterness comes in at 90+ IBU.

Another excellent brew from Stone. Huge hop aroma, grapefruit rind and rose petals. Big hops in the flavor too but they don’t overpower it and it remains very well balanced with just a hint of sweetness. Great stuff

Pours a dark copper brown color with a foamy tan head. aroma is of pine, grapefuit, fruit, and carmel malt. flavor is simillar with a foward piney and citrus hop flavor with a good amount of carmel and toffee malt to backup the hops. alchool is not too noticable on the finnish and the mouthfeel is not too heavy. overall, a nice Strong Ale.

Deep reddish brown color. Thick and creamy tan colored head that hangs on forever. Pine resin, grapefruit skin nose. Taste begins with Earthy hops, slightly sweet malt, warm alcohol, and big bitterness on the end. Above average palate that holds the flavor for a long time. I had really hyped this one in my head before trying it. It’s great but I think I over-hyped it a bit.

Pours a dark copper with foamy tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, citrus, tropical fruit, piney hops. Similar taste with nice lingering hop bite. Dry in the finish as well Not as thick on the palate as it appears it would. Perhaps my favorite Stone I’ve tried so far.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark red, almost purple in color. Thin head of white lace. Aroma is strong, caramel, citrus, sweetness, and spice. Really a complex and strong beverage. Flavors include chocolate and citrus hops. Really nice.

22oz. Pour is deep amber/red with a huge frothy caramel colored head. Tons of grapfruit and citrus to the nose. The flavor is packed with a huge amount of hops and finishing with a nice citrus hit. If this thing is drinking at 9.5% I must be crazy because it sure as hell isn’t noticable. Thanks Stone!
