| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Bottle. Poured amber brown, with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, big malt, resinous hops. Taste is similar, with lots of hop, some grapefruit and some pine, some caramel malt as well. Though they play a backseat to the hops. Finish is bitter, and the mouth is sticky and resinous. Overall, a very solid imperial red. Maybe this will be a brew they continue with after the 13th, like they did with the 11th.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2009 bottle. color is garnet-chestnut and redder at the edges. medium height darkish tan head. aroma is sweaty hops (armpit), a little resinous pine and burnt caramel malt. flavor is peppery pine resin hops, more burnt caramel malt, and a little alcohol heat. some old grapefruit peel in there too. these folks make solid ASAs in their sleep, but the 13th Anniv Ale will keep you awake. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2009 bottle, pours carmel with a light tan head. Aroma is all hops. Some grapefruit and pine oil. Flavor is bitter as hell with some malt coming through, but tons of citrus hop and piney thick hop stew flavors. I like it, but although the bottle says not to cellar, I would love to taste more of the malt. merlin48 (519), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Hazed garnet hued body with a creamy tan head. Plentiful island chain lacing. Aroma of cedar, grassy hops, toffee and a whiff of grapefruit. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Taste opens with a pine hop bitterness. Toffee and caramel malt bases struggles to keep up with the massive hop additions. Hops are leafy, earthy, grassy , and citrusy. Finishes with a citrus rind bitterness that is lasting. Elements of Old Guardian, Double Bastard, and Arrogant Bastard are all found in this one but it’s still able to forge its own identity. Well done. vtafro (477), , New Jersey, USA

Flavor has nice nutty malt, and citrus hop overtones. Very nice offering from stone. Like the warning do not cellar. scoth (287), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
