SDalkoholic (1021), Chula Vista, California, USA Mar 28, 2008 From the tap at the Stone Winter Storm 2008. I had ordered this beer along with a Sawyer’s Triple and both were served in a small glass of an estimated six ounces. I was a little upset though since the waitress had confused the two beers with each other and I had to do the math myself and figured out on my own which was which. Anyways, This was a crystal clear golden brass/blonde ale with a decent layer of foam and no sign of any sediment or dust. The aroma was a bold and lively serving of hops and citrus. The flavor was strong and held a fresh juicy grapefruit taste and tons of hops considering the few mouthfuls I consumed. I’d really like to see this and all of their rare anniversary ales re-brewed and bottled to let everyone experience what delicious beer recipes Stone has in their archive. Nose is sweet and hoppy. Taste is sweet, hoppy, mellow and bright with a bit of peachy quality to it. goldtwins (3731), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 18, 2008 Tap @ Stone Winter Storm ’08: This help up fairly well I have to say. Poured a hazy gold color with an off-white head. Aged sweet malt aroma. Some notes of orange juice but still some hop presence. Citrus aroma and flavor hops. the citrus mixes well with aged malt character in the flavor. Medium bodied with some bitterness still present. DenverLogan (420), Oceanside, California, USA Feb 4, 2008 At Winter Storm...cloudy apricot-copper color. Floral-hop-earth aroma. Rich, big bite of citrus hops, orange peel, a little funky. padrefan98 (593), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Jan 30, 2008 On tap at the Stone Winter Storm 2008.
