Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark Dec 30, 2005 Foamy well lasting white head, slightly hazy golden body. Fresh dominating hoppy and light spicy aroma with a tone of alcohol. Dry biding hoppy flavor with notes of white pepper, grass and spices. Sharp. A bit unbalanced, but nice and interesting. hopdog (5525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 30, 2005 22oz bottle. Poured a medium to deep golden color with a large sized off white head. Lots of small particles with nice lacing left on the glass. Aromas of strong pine, light peppery spice, and citrus. Tastes of oranges, pine, light spices and some caramel sweetness. Medium alcohol taste in the finish. Aroma reminded me of an IPA although the taste was more balanced than the straight forward hop aromas. pfhyde (38), Davis, California, USA Dec 27, 2005 This is a great buy--7.8% ABV for 1 Pt. 6 Fl. Oz. of consistently tasty, Belgium style ale. If you want the fizz of Belgium, but can’t afford the real deal, give this a shot. It comes across as subpar at first, but believe me, it’s worth a second (third, fourth) try. (Oh, and make sure you look up all the words on the bottle description in the Oxford English Dictionary--they’re great fun.) kms399 (267), plymouth, Minnesota, USA Dec 23, 2005 bottle thanks to secret santa. pours a nice golden color. nice head. no lacing. aroma is citrus hops and malt very sweet smelling. taste is hops malt and orange. smooth and very refreshing. damn good WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2005 Room filling aroma of orange and floral hops. Beautiful bright and crystal clear orange with a huge, firm white head that vanishes, leaving lacing on the side of the glass. Sweet orange taste, not much malt, but a long and ver bitter finish should keep any kid from confusing this for some sweet orange drink. Description says it’s a wheat beer. I don’t get any haze or other tell tales of a wheat beer. Originally I gave it a 14 overall, but it started to grow on me. Not quite like Ruination ... but a striaghtforward hop meister from Stone. blankboy (3156), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 22, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size white head. Nice lacing. Very nice aroma of citrus and piney hops with some malt backing it up. The flavour follows the aroma and is quite tasty I must say. Medium bodied and creamy. Not as awesome as some of Stone’s other beers but still very good. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Dec 21, 2005 Thanks to johnny Flake for this bottle. Pours yellow/orange, with a white head. Aromas are hops, citrus (mostly orange), and malt. Flavors are citrus, pine, malt, and fruit. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 20, 2005 Nice NW hop aroma emanating from this clear amber brew. The tall, solid dense head does some serious lacing as it dissolves. I’m not getting any wheat out of this well hopped ale, but that’s cool, since wheat ales (excepting hefeweizens) aren’t favorite styles of mine. Basically, this comes across as an aggressive APA, and I like that in a beer.
