Clear copper/orange color. Nose is light and flowery, light fruit, peaches and citrus, a touch piney. Body is light/medium, good carbonation with a lightly oily palate. Delicate juicey hop flavors, flowery, spicey and fruity. Malt flavors are subdued, spicey wheat, caramel showing underneath all the hoppiness, touch yeasty, light bubblegum notes to boot. Finish is lightly sweet, floral and fruity. Hello alcyhol! An easy quaff. Thanks Odeed! Odeed (1681), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2006 I have to say that IPA style beers really aren’t my favorite, so I tried to be neutral in tasting this. Coming in a bomber of a bottle, I was a bit worried that I might not finish it all if I didn’t like it. The aroma was an immediately blast of floral and citrus. It LOOKED like a wheat, but it smelled like an IPA. After first taste, I was blasted with hops and more hops. I’m not a hophead at all, so it really wasn’t that pleasant but for those who are I’m sure it was well made. Medium-high ABV so it was rather warming on a cool day which was nice. As it warmed the hop flavor seemed to come out more. Mouthfeel was very full. I enjoyed the type of beer they were looking to make, just not sure if I will be buying the 9th again. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Cloudy, orangish color with a substantial off-white head. Aroma of grass & orange, with a nice, subdued hop aroma. Taste was of a slightly over-aged IPA - heavier malt, but the old hops are still hanging around and contributing. A bit earthy with some light citrus. Smooth, but enough body to make it interesting. I like this brew - glad to have tried it. MrManning (1661), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Bottoe courtesy of , and thanks to Immy! A slight hazy yellow pour pours with a good bleached white froth. Good lacing. Pretty straight forward hop profile in the nose, with some perfume and citrus fruits. A hoppy bread crust flavour is matched well with a mild citrus bitterness. Good pure hop leaf finish, with lots of bitterness lingering.Would do well on the patio in summer. Not complex, but still very enjoyable. A pleasure to try. Thanks so much Tim! NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2006 bottle. Well, the Anniversary ale from Stone this year is pretty light in color. It’s a gold hue which is just slightly cloudy and supports a frothy, white head. Plenty of sweet lemons and foresty hops are evident in the aroma along with a bit of the wheat in a mild, bready form. The body is rather dense of lemon zest flavor and caramel sweetness which balances quite biting piny hops. It’s piercing on the first few sips, but quickly becomes progressively more palatable. Green tea and other grassy flavors become apparent. This has got to be my 2nd favorite wheat behind 3 Floyd’s. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Clear golden amber with decent white head, fades to ring of bubbles. Aroma is rather oxidized already, lots of cardboard and sweet malt. Don’t get any hop whatsoever. Flavor again slightly oxidized, with tons of sweet malt and little else. Rather unimpressed overall. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Bomber courtesy of StFun. Pours a very carbonated medium amber with a 2 finger off-white head and very spotty lacing. Nose is wheat and sweet fruits like apricot and peach. Taste is sweet malt and more sweet fruits upfront with some citrus in the middle. It almost tastes like a DIPA that’s lost its hop profile. Some hoppy alcohol burn in the finish. Smooth creamy mouth feel. Wish I had tried this fresh – I bet it was nice and hoppy. Still very good as is. Thanks Josh!
