The aroma is apricot and hops. Medium to heavy body with a smooth, almost oily texture. The finish is a bit sweet. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

I didn’t think this would hold up, but it was still in great condition. Overall, I liked the 8th Anniversary better, but this was good, hoppy and a little yeasty. This was an original brew. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2005 Updated: Apr 27, 20068-month re-rate -- This beer has aged very nicely. The aroma is a bit more pronounced and the hops aren’t as dominating as they were originally. A nice sweetness is now present that was lacking before. I’m not sure how much better this beer can get, drink it now.
Gold color with a good sized white head. Very little aroma, what there is if of pine. I’m not usually one who likes wheat beers (though in some senses this beer is almost a cross between a wheat beer and an IPA), yet as usual... Stone is able to pull off one that I like. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Big hops bouquet of evergreen forest, perfume, flowers, resin, and believe it or not a hint of bubble gum. Pours a medium clear honey amber. Tall off white head the consistency of meringue topping. Nice big fluffy hunks of lace stick to the side of my pint glass. The brew is of course big and hoppy from the start - just the way I like it; but not without a hint of malt presence for some balance. The warm alcohol middle has heavy acidity throughout. The finish is classic Stone - BIG! The medium dry body is lively and feels chalky at the finish. This brew is a perfect example of the excellence that is consistently brought to us by the good people at Stone. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Cloudy golden color with tiny particals floating around. Smell of hops, fruit, and alcohol. Tastes very hoppy with hints of citrus and then a dry, salty, bitter finish. Thanks Brewblackhole. WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
