A bright orange-amber color, thick sticky frothy inch of white foam. Clingy head. Grapefruit/citrus+ pine hop aroma. Bitter, not too sharp. Mucho hops + malt : good body, NOT the greatest that Stone has made...good mouthfeel. Glad I tried it; won’t have one too soon kwoeltje (1326), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Flavor is floral/pine hops with some sweetness, yeast and fruit. The love child of an agressive imperial IPA and a wheat beer. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2005 A hoppy but mellow aroma. A less than satisfying yellow color. This hits hard, its like an IPA mixed with a strong ale. Another solid Stone offering. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Aroma is loaded with pine and citrus hops with earthy, musty notes.. The flavor is grapefruit and citrus, good amount of sweet maltiness. Finish is long bitter and dry. This is good stuff. hippie4beer (162), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

The aroma is a bit more pronounced and the hops aren’t as dominating as they were originally. A nice sweetness is now present that was lacking before. I’m not sure how much better this beer can get, drink it now.
Gold color with a good sized white head. Very little aroma, what there is if of pine. I’m not usually one who likes wheat beers (though in some senses this beer is almost a cross between a wheat beer and an IPA), yet as usual... Stone is able to pull off one that I like. yespr (12407), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2008 From tap at Stone Bistro. Pours hazy to cloudy yellow with a lacing white head. Mild fruity hops aroma. Flavour is grapefruity and smooth, not as sharp as this normally gets. Good balance to the malt too. Smooth and refreshing hoppy finish. wheninhell (486), louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2006 pours fairly thick light orange with a white head. fantastic floral citrus hop aroma with sweet roasted malt and wheat undertones. flavor sweet and hoppy. flavor reminiscent of a barleywine but the malt is softened by the wheat. body full but carbonation seems fairly fizzy especially on the finish making the beer seem a bit lighter. finish is sweet with a bit of tartness and alcohol. i really liked this one.
