| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2005 Poured a still clear amber with a large creamy white head that refused to dissipate. Aroma of sharp piney hops, candy, grass. Taste is sharp hops, with grass and a touch of grapefruit with a long bitter finish. Clean though somewhat one-dimensional. However, it is crisp, bold and refreshing, which I think was just what Stone was going for with this one. I liked it. HopalotCassidy (12), Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 9, 2005 Very similar in character to 3 Floyd’s Gumball Head. Fruit and Floral. Stong Alcohol notes that should mellow with just 6 months or so. Assertive aroma and Flavor. Far superior to last year’s but lacks the depth of their 7th. Got 2 for the cellar. Might get a third. Will be tasting one a year. Will report back then. lamas (728), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA

A clear golden honey pour with a smallish light-tan head that leaves lots of lace. The aroma is almost equal parts wheaty and hoppy. Quite floral and tangy. I smell lots of oranges, strawberries, bananas and lemons. A whiff of alcohol is apparent when I reach the bottom of the glass. Very perfumed too. Tastes like an APA crossed with a strong American wheat. There’s a wheaty dryness to this medium-bodied beer. Just light enough to still be refreshing. Remarkably fresh and herbaceous. Tart and fruity with a peppery and spicy finish. I really like this one. VERY tasty. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

Smells of nice sweet citrus, dough, some bananas, lots of resin. Tastes of creamy malt and citrus with some peppery splashes. This is holding up very well! | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Pours a hazy golden amber with an average light lacing off white head that went away rather quickly. Aroma is sweet citrus (mostly orange) caramel, some floral hops, very nice. Almost like a IIPA aroma. Flavor is grapefruit with a slight hop bitterness in the tail. Very similar to the other Stone IPA’s. Great hops with a nice malt backbone, very enjoyable.
