Has a great nose where the brandy and oak comes through. Flavour of caramel malt, ripe fruit, vanilla, a bit of alcohol burn coming through. Ungstrup (15361), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Draft at Stone Bistro. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and over ripe fruits as well as a light note of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and a light touch of brandy, leading to a dry and very woody finish. The alcohol burns lightly in the top of the throat. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Smells of oak, brandy, molasses, fruity, some sweet malt, breaddy. Tastes dry and oaky with a nice fruity undertone and some nice bitterness on the finish. xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Aroma is lots of brandy, touches of sourness, vanilla, carmel, and honey.
Taste is initially alcoholic and brandy, but strangely not hot. A bit of tart red grapefruit, well more than a bit. Vanilla, more red fruit, and alcohol soaked vanilla-caramel.
Mouthfeel is slightly cloying, sweet, and a bit more red fruit alcohol.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Aroma is sweet and full of brandy notes, some darker malts, some noticeable base beer hop bitterness is there as well. Pours dark auburn with a thin bubbly head. Flavor is initially very sweet with tons of brandy, vanilla, flavors of the base beer - dark malts and lots of hop bitterness. Brandy comes in and takes over leaving sweetness and alcohol to hang out in the finish. Would work very well with a cigar. Full bodied, hot boozy barrel aged big beer. Maybe a little too barrel aged for my liking, but a fine beer to many including myself. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2009 One of the more interesting beer’s I’ve tried. The brandy taste was definitely apparent, but it was not too aggressive, very smooth. Not sure if I could drink this often, but it was definitely a good choice.
