| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 26, 2009 Smooth and sweet with a very noticeable brandy flavor. Rich and hot, with malt, sweetness and herbs. There is hoppy bitterness and alcohol heat in the finish. This is the first brandy barrel aged beer I have had, and it is rich, potent, and superior. Unusual and very good. On tap for Stone week at Rattle’n’hum. JaBier (1233), Capital City, Ohio, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 18, 2009 awsome version of an already great brew. The brandy barrel aging added even more of a fruitiness on the nose. This also came across in the flavour as a sweet cherry component seemed to complement the flavour which was more complex than the regular double bastard. It also seemed to hide the alcohol better than the regular double bastard. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
